Eine BTU pro Stunde entspricht 8,33333 × 10 ^-5 Kühltonne :

1 BTU / h = 8,333333 × 10 ^–5 RT

So ist die Leistung P in der Kälte Tonnen (RT) ist gleich die Leistung P in BTU pro Stunde (BTU / h) geteilt durch 12000:
